This weekend I went to a Desire Map Workshop with Laura Zera at Emily’s Infinite Health Home. I really enjoyed spending the day with like minded women and finding out my personal “Core Desired Feelings” or CDFs.

I typically try to make decisions based on my values which I learned from Dr. Demartini and most recently from the Mindful Wealth Movement. According to the Mindful Wealth movement, my main values are:

  • Variety
  • Compassion
  • Well Being
  • Significance
  • Growth

So it was interesting to see what my desired feelings would be, not surprisingly they relate to what I want my core values to be. Here’s what I came up with

CDFs Relates to (value):
Free: unrestrained, unconfined, clarity, open, available, empty, let go, unshackled, unburdened, independence, nonconformist, removal of perceptions, space, deliberate
  • variety
  • wellbeing
  • growth
Ease: peace, rest, contentment, lesson, effortlessness, relieve, comfort, lighten, simplify, quiet, without difficulty, tranquil, free from anxiety
  • variety
  • wellbeing
  • growth
Connected: join, link unite, merge, bond, union, bring together, as one, band together
  • significance
  • growth
  • compassion
  • variety
  • wellbeing
Grounded: smallness, enough, earth, familiarize, educate
  • significance
  • growth
  • compassion
  • wellbeing
Mountain Warrior: fear, growth, adventure, exploration, confidently afraid, beginners mind, dynamic, limitless, boundless
  • growth
  • variety
  • wellbeing

I look forward to seeing how these CDFs will impact my decision making and my thoughts throughout the day. I also plan on finishing off the workbook that we received so I can get a better handle on all of it. As of right now, I feel like I spend a lot of my day multi-tasking without even realizing it. Switching from facebook to work to chat messages to email to task notifications then my phone. I would really like to see more of the free and ease aspects of my CDFs come through in the next couple of weeks.

Connection is also a huge one that I think I’m lacking. My favorite thing to do is volunteer for teachers and I haven’t been doing it so I submitted an application to volunteer at a school in my town.

Things I’ll be focusing on in the coming months:

  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Service
  • Empathy
  • Exploring
